Course Offerings
Students may review course offerings beginning December 6, 2024 using the following method:
- Go to and login, then select Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSelf-Service, Course Catalog. On the home screen select Course Catalog. Filter your search. Select section name hyperlinks for more information, including requisites, restrictions, and course descriptions. You must use Student Planning to actually register for those courses.
Summer Sessions
- Summer 2025 Session I dates: May 28 - July 10, 2025
- Summer 2025 Session II dates: July 14 - August 21, 2025
- Summer 2025 Alternate Session (III) dates: May 28 - August 21, 2025, specific course dates vary.
- Summer 2025 Session IV (Maymester) dates: May 19 - June 8, 2025
Web Registration
Continuing undergraduate students, including those students studying abroad, may use Student Planning from any computer with web access to register for summer courses. Students must know their username and password (same as Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éemail) to access Student Planning. If you do not know your username and password or you need to have your password reset, contact the Student Technology Center at 410-617-5555.
When can I use Student Planning, the registration system?
- Summer 2025 Session I: February 24, 2025, Midnight – 2 days prior to the course's start date.
- Summer 2025 Session II: February 24, 2025, Midnight – 2 days prior to the course's start date.
- Summer 2025 Alternate Session (III): February 24, 2025, Midnight – 2 days prior to the course's start date. Student Planning closes for all summer course registrations on July 12 at 11:59 p.m.
- Summer 2025 Session IV (Maymester): February 24, 2025, Midnight - 2 days prior to the course's start date.
When registering for summer courses, you may use Student Planning for up to 2 days prior to the course's start date; thereafter, you must register in person prior to the end of Late Registration.
Who is eligible to register for the summer using Student Planning?
Only continuing undergraduate students, including those students studying abroad, are eligible to use Student Planning for summer registration.
Newly admitted, readmitted, first-time transfer, visiting, or special students must register in person or by contacting the Academic Advising and Support Center. Contact the Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) for an appointment, 410-617-5050.
How do I prepare for summer web registration?

Review course offerings using Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSelf-Service, Course Catalog beginning December 6, 2024.

Consult with AASC in-person (MH 138), by phone (410-617-5050), or email (aasc@loyola.edu). They will advise you on the courses needed to complete your degree requirements and check for completion of, or current registration for, necessary prerequisites.

Provide AASC with evidence of permission for all courses requiring permission of the instructor, unless the department gives electronic permission.

After advising you about your course eligibility, AASC will enter an electronic code for each course giving you access to register using Student Planning.

Log into then select Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSelf-Service, Student Planning, Go to Plan & Schedule to register when registration opens.
How do I pay for courses when using Student Planning?
Students using Student Planning are billed on May 1, 2025 for summer registration charges and fees. Payment is due upon receipt of the summer bill.

Students unable to web register
Registrations may be completed at the Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC - Maryland Hall 138) and are accepted through the late registration period.
Billing
Submission of registration by a student incurs the obligation to pay all tuition and fees. Costs can be found under Tuition and Fees.
Dropping/Withdrawing courses
Requests to drop/withdraw from a course must be submitted in writing on a Change of Registration Form once Web Registration closes. Non-payment of tuition, mere non-attendance at class, or permission from an instructor to withdraw from a course does not constitute official withdrawal from the course. Unless approval is received from the Academic Advising and Support Center, a grade of F will be entered on the student's permanent record. Registration for Study Abroad Students

Student Permission: Email your parent/guardian giving them your permission to complete the Undergraduate Part-Time Registration Request Form on your behalf. To obtain a registration form, contact the Office of the Registrar, 410-617-2263. The form is mailed to your permanent home address.

Registration/Payment: The Undergraduate Part-Time Registration Request Form signed by the parent/guardian, along with a printed copy of the student's email permission, may be either mailed or hand-delivered to the Office of the Registrar. Costs can be found under Tuition and Fees.

The Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) signs the registration form, and the registration is processed. The courses then appear on Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSelf-Service, Student Planning, Go to Plan & Schedule. If there are any registration problems, AASC contacts the student via email.
Confirmation
Once you have finished web registering or your registration request form has been processed, be certain to check Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSelf-Service, Student Planning, Go to Plan & Schedule to review and confirm accurate registration processing. This schedule displays finalized classroom assignments approximately two weeks prior to the start of classes.
Late Registration
Students who have not registered for classes by the close of Web Registration must contact the Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) to register, as follows:
- Summer 2025 Session I: May 28-29, 2025
Course Withdrawal Period for Summer Session I: May 30 – July 2, 2025 - Summer 2025 Session II: July 14–15, 2025
Course Withdrawal Period for Summer Session II: July 16– August 14, 2025 - Summer 2025 Alternate Session (III): Start Date of Class
Course Withdrawal Period for Summer Alternate Session (III): Begins the day after the start date of class. Withdrawal end dates are found under Course Withdrawal. - Summer 2025 Session IV (Maymester):May 19, 2025
Course Withdrawal Period for Summer Session IV (Maymester): May 20-June 2, 2025
Students with approved summer alternate session internships may register through July 15, 2025. Contact the Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC) at aasc@loyola.edu or 410-617-5050 during business hours if web registration is closed.
A billing notification will be sent to the student's Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éemail address after registration.
Summer Courses Away
Students who wish to register for summer courses at another institution may visit the AASC website, then select Summer Courses Away under For Students.
- Students are responsible for knowing the regulations governing registration and withdrawal as summarized on the Office of the Registrar website and given in detail in the undergraduate catalogue (www.loyola.edu/department/registrar).
- Students are responsible for knowing the regulations governing payment of tuition, available under the Financial Services, Student Accounts website (www.loyola.edu/department/financial-services/student-accounts).
- The University reserves the right to make any changes to scheduled course offerings and to cancel any class for which there is insufficient enrollment.
