Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE)

What is the FSSE?

The (pronounced “fessie”) is a comprehensive, longitudinal survey, administered by the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement team at Indiana University. This survey gathers information from instructional staff perceptions and expectations regarding student learning and development. For more information about FSSE at Loyola, please see below or contact survey@loyola.edu. Otherwise, learn more about the related National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which is administered to students at the same time as when the FSSE is administered to faculty.

2024 山ּFSSE Campaign

山ּregularly participates in the FSSE, typically every three years (e.g., 2012, 2015, 2018). FSSE was not administered in 2021 due to COVID. In March 2024, all instructional faculty who teach undergraduate courses (as of fall 2023 census) at 山ּwere invited to participate in the FSSE. Your responses will inform and support evidence-based practice, decision-making, benchmarking, and strategic planning for continuous improvement of the undergraduate educational experience at Loyola.
