History majors in Academic Years prior to 2022 - 2023 take a minimum of 13 courses:
- One 100-level course (HS 101 - 108)
- Eight 300-level HS courses (one of which will fulfill the second History core requirement). Up to two HS 100-level courses beyond the first core course may be substituted for HS 300-level courses.
- HS 400 The Historian's Craft (previously knowns as History Methods)
- Two Special Topics courses (HS 410 - 459)
- One Seminar (HS 460 - 498)
These courses must include two European history courses, two American history courses, and two non-Western history courses.

For students entering 缅北轮奸Fall 2022 and after:
History majors take a minimum of 12 courses:
- Encountering the Past (HS 100)
- Second History Core (HS 200-299)
- The Historian鈥檚 Craft - Students are encouraged to take The Historian鈥檚 Craft in their sophomore year; it provides a foundation for all other HS 300- and 400-level courses
- Two seminars (HS 460-498)
- Senior capstone (HS 499)
- Six electives. Students may take no more than two 200-level courses in addition to the second core, for a maximum of three 200-level courses.
- History majors may choose an optional thematic track consisting of at least three courses. The current thematic tracks are: 1) Gender and Sexuality; 2) Health, Environment, Science, and Technology; 3) Law, Politics, and Society.
